Finally finished decorating for christmas. With so many Santa Claus in my collection and such a small space in the apartment it is difficult to find room to display them. I even have them in the bathrooms. Later today Rusty and I will try to finish our shopping and then the task of wrapping will begin.

Haven't blogged in a while. I have had bronchitis and with shopping for Thannksgiving and Christmas haven't had much time. Everyone is fine. Brooklyn is still sick with what the doctor now thinks is Asthma and Alisha has to give her breathing treatments several times a day but otherwise she seems fine. The boys are doing great and are happy in the new apartment.

Yesterday we had a scare with Brooklyn. She has had a cold since Wednesday and could not sleep that night due to a high fever and congestion. During the morning, her fever spiked and Alisha put her in the tub to try and bring it down. While in the tub she became unresponsive, limp and was not breathing. Thankfully Alisha got her out and preformed CPR. Later the ER doctor said it was a febrile seizure due to her high fever. It was 103 when in the ER. The test showed that she has RSV which is a common virus found in small children.
We just need to watch and make sure her fever is kept in check and the virus should runs its course in a few days. Thank you lord for keeping this sweet little girl in our lives.

It's been a while since I posted anything. Life just seems to get in the way. My leg finally healed and things went back to normal if you can call my life normal. Rusty and I helped Jason and Alisha move from the hell hole they were living in and they and the boys are now happy. Alisha is doing a good job making a home for Jason and the kids.

I stayed at home and kept Brooklyn while the others bowled on our league last night. I still can't bowl right now. My leg is much better but still hurts when I walk.
We had a good time while they were gone. After they picked Brooklyn up and went home Alisha started having problems with swelling in her stomach and shortness of breath so Jason took her to the ER. Rusty and I went to the ER and decided to bring the baby home with us. Since Jason and Alisha were at the hospital until 5 AM, I told them I would bring her home on my way to work at noon. Since she didn't go to bed until after midnight she slept until almost 9 AM and ate a good breakfast. That child loves to eat.

WOO HOO. I had a much better day today. I continued to rest my leg as much as possible even at work and after work Alisha made me rest it while she cooked supper. She likes to cook and bake and is really turning into a great cook. It really helps to have her make supper for us o
n the nights I work until 6. It is usually on the table when I walk thru the door.

I planned on staying off my leg this weekend ( in fact I promised both Rusty and Mrs Sarah that I would stay in bed all weekend) and let everyone wait on me. I couldn't stay in the bed but tried to sit as much as possible. We did keep Brooklyn last night so Jason and Alisha could go out for a little while. Everyone came over for breakfast this morning and Alisha made lupper for everyone. Afterwards we watched football and the kids played outside. I wish we could have gone to church but hope God will understand.

I promised Rusty I would try to stay off my leg this weekend but it is so difficult when you are use to being up and doing things. I did come home from work yesterday and stayed in bed or in my recliner. This morning is another story. I am tired on sitting and my backside is tired of sitting. I almost want to find a pair of crutches so I can still get around but keep the weight off my leg. I might try to talk Rusty into going to goodwill to see if he can find me some.

Had another great Sunday. The kids came over for breakfast and then we all went to church. Afterwards, Alisha and I went to the nail salon for manicures and pedicures. Tomorrow is Alisha's birthday and since I have to work 12 to 6 I thought we could do something together today. Once we got home, Rusty cooked steaks on the grill while Alisha and I prepared the fries (for Jason and the boys), baked potatoes and bread. Still having problems with my leg. I'm tired of limping but can' put my weight on it. I hope it is better by bowling night.

Not much going on this week. Working, cleaning and spending time with the kids everyday. Rusty , Jason, Alisha and I started our bowling league on Wednesday night.
Since it has been over 6 years since we bowled in a league or anywhere for that matter, I think we did pretty good. We won 3 games and lost 1. Thank goodness for handicap. I did however re-injure my knee and Rusty pulled a muscle inside his leg. It sure is bad to get old. I have to work tomorrow but hope we can get in some practice time this weekend if my knee allows.

After breakfast, we all went to church. We have been going to Cascade Hills Baptist Church for the last couple of weeks. It is not like the baptist churches I grew up going to. It is very laid back and the preacher is not a fire and brimstone preacher. Today service was about remembering 911.
After church we came home and ate lunch. I had put chicken and dressing in the oven to slow cook while at church. I helped Cameron with his alien project and they left early so the boys could play with their friends at home.

After Jamie got off from work and picked up the boys, the four us decided to go to the bowling alley to practice for the new league. Alisha is a fairly new bowler and has to use a house ball and shoes. Since this is a 30 weeks league, Rusty and I have decided to give her a bowling ball, bag and shoes for her birthday. Since renting shoes is over 4.00, it will be cheaper to buy them rather than rent(120.00)them. After the first game I was able to get over my fear of falling and was able to bowl a fairly good game. I hope I do as well on Wednesday.
Alisha, the kids and I all went to the Kiddie Shop to get Brooklyn a new pair of walking shoes and then met Jason and Rusty at Steak N Shake for lunch. The kids love to eat there. Afterwards we went to Michael's to get items for Cameron's alien project and then came home to start making it. He seemed to have fun.
A work of art in progress. Finished pictures to follow.
Alisha and the kids came over for breakfast. Jason is working with Rusty this morning. We will meet them later for lunch and then take Cameron shopping for a school project. He has to make a alien and write a paper about where the alien came from and where and what he eats while on earth. It sounds like a project right up my alley. I have always liked anything to do with outer space.

Rusty and I have decided we need to get out of the house more. The kids come over just about every night except on Wednesday (Jamie has the boys). We have decided to rejoin our old Wednesday night bowling league. We have not bowled since I broke my shoulder several years ago. We went for the organizational meeting last night and stayed to bowl afterwards. Rusty bowled great but I did not do well. I had trouble sliding on the lane and I'm not sure if it is my shoes or my head. Since I broke my shoulder falling on the lane the last time I bowled it may by playing with my head. I hope not. We'll see.

No work today. Woo hoo. At least of the paid kind. I need to work on the books for Rusty's company (C&M Snacks). There doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to do everything. Later, I will meet Rusty for lunch and then I am going to check out some new apartments. We downsized from a three bedroom house to a two bedroom apartment so we would not have the upkeep on the house and yards but are finding we are quite cramped(SEE PICTURES). I would still like a two bedroom but Rusty wants three. He would like to use one as an office. I would just like more space in the kitchen, dining room and living area. I usually work on my laptop at the dining table anyway. WISH ME LUCK..

Sometimes you get tired of being the one that does the inviting. I work a full time job, take care of my home and it seems I am required to invite people over every Sunday. I have said over and over again that anyone is welcome to come over for Sunday lunch(without invitation) but because I have stopped calling they don't come and its seems its my fault. They don't even talk to me about it but complain to Alisha. Well times they are a changing. Rusty and I have decided that we are going to start going out of town more. Doing things we like to do instead of always catering to others.

Today was Rusty's birthday. I usually either make his favorite meal or take him out to eat but I had to work until 6:00 so Alisha cooked today.
She made homemade tacos, fajitas and enchiladas with birthday cake for dessert.
With 60 candles on the cake, the boys had to help Paw Paw blow them out before the smoke alarms went off.

Although Rusty and I went to the Fernbank Museum and Turner Field in Atlanta several weeks ago, we decided to take Cameron and Mason yesterday. Jason's boss gave him four good tickets to the braves's game. We left Columbus around 2:00, arrived at the museum a little before 4:00. We were only able to spend a little over one hour there because they closed at 5:00 but were able to see most of the exhibits. We then went to the Braves game and had a great time. The boys seemed to really enjoy the game and the food. We left during the 8th inning in order to beat the crowds leaving the game. We arrived home at 11:00 and the boys and Rusty went straight to bed. This is the first time in a while that they have spent the night with us.

Haven't blogged in a while. I'm having problems with downloading photos into my blog from my IPAD and can't seem to correct the problem. I can download from my laptop but most
of my newer pictures are on my IPAD and I have to download them to the laptop first and then post on my blog on the laptop. It's a shame because I have pictures from my weekend trip to Atlanta I would like to post.

My hubby took me to Atlanta this past weekend for my birthday. I won't say how old I am but lets just say I sometimes feel old as dirt. Since his birthday is in August we decided to celebrate his as well. I took him to see the Braves play at Turner Field and he took me to the Fernbank Museum of Natural History.
